Call

A call is a short pattern that is used for the following purposes. It can begin a rhythm, end it, lead to the next part, or call in the dancer. Please note that the classic calls can be played with different stickings. If you are familiar with another type of sticking, feel free to use it. 

It is recommended to practice the calls in both ways: leading with your right hand and leading with your left hand. To become a good djembe player it is essential to be able to lead with both hands.
